UTG Setup

1: First install UTG after which go into services and stop the "Shift4 UTG" service the open UTG Tuneup through the windows searchbar. After opening Tuneup you can go into the Shift4 Partner portal and open customers page via "Merchant List" select the merchant then go to Equipment>UTG and Gateway.

Within Shift4 Portal you will also need the Authorization Token under UTG>Gateway you will then Copy this Token into Focus in the Misc>Credit tab>Credit Card Direct.

2: After that go into Tuneup and enter the station name (If not named no changes save),

next in the express tab enter the serial number under serial (Serial found on the S4 Portal UTG and Gateway)

next enter the slot number this slot is correlated with the stations placement under Locations>Stations on Focus,

you will then change the Host address to 127.0.0.1,

The location will then be the restaurants ZIP code found as the DBA address under the Shift4 Portal,

The last change under the express tab will be putting the serial into the API Serial Number slot as well.

3: Under the API Interfaces tab press the add button and select TCP/IP,

here you will change the Host Address to 127.0.0.1 and press ok.

4: Next go to the Devices tab and press add you will then select the Device under Device Type.

Then you will enter the API Terminal ID this number will correlate with this stations position in Locations>Stations on Focus (The First Slot in Location Station will be 0001).

Next make sure the Baud Rate is set to 115200 and set the CVV Code, Street number and Zip Code to disabled under Manual Card Entry.

Lastly Enter the Serial Number From Shift4 Partner Portal and hit ok.

5: Lastly go to the Offline Mode Tab and change the Maximum Hours to 72 and the Stand-In Limit Ammount to 9999.99. Finally check the Return Error on Void if Offline and press save.

6: From Here Make sure to run test payments on the device after running UTG Standalone if you are unable to run a payment on the device go back and double check the UTG tuneup settings.
